Dave Cintron studied at the Bronx High School of Science and UCLA and has spent more than 50 years as a systems analyst. In his book UFOs: An Analysis of the Situation he applies that analytical approach to eight decades of UFO sightings, crash-retrieval claims and abduction accounts.

Most UFO research hunts for the single case that proves everything. Dave's book instead looks at the whole body of evidence and asks what the pattern means. It argues that the real obstacle is secrecy on our own side. It also separates disclosure by governments from disclosure by the visitors themselves.

Two long-running research interests shape how he approaches the subject. As an Egyptologist, he has been published in the Journal of the Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities and has presented at the American Research Center in Egypt.
