Davis M. DeBard holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.  He is the president of Software Produx, a consulting firm.  

In 2025, he published his first book, Artificial Intelligence: Choose the Best, with a companion site, https://ChooseTheBest.ai, a five-star-rated overview of the artificial intelligence industry, highly recommended by Lionel Friedberg, Emmy-winning N.Y. Times best-selling author.

Davis became friends with Carlos Carnevalini, the pen name of Carlos Solis, over a ten-year period through Peter Anthony Flynn, a former Walt Disney executive who sought out experiencers for his screenwriting career.

 Born in Nicaragua to the son of a computer scientist trained in the United States, Carlos Carnevalini immigrated legally to the U.S. during a reign of terror in his country while in his late teens.  His career was largely in hotel management, though he developed artistic and writing skills that we in the group Galactics were privileged to enjoy.  He lived first in Florida, then in California, for the duration of his life, which, sadly, ended in 2024. 

Davis is the Co-Author, along with Carnevalini, of the book: Real Contact. The book recounts Carnevalini’s lifetime of paranormal, UFO and extraterrestrial experiences – it is his true story, told in his own words. Davis posthumously published Real Contact  which was Carlos’ second book.

Davis met Peter Flynn at UPARS, the UFO and Paranormal Research Society, formerly MUFON-LA, led by Steve Murillo.  Peter led a group called the Galactics for four years until his death.  Davis took that group over.
