Les Velez

Les Velez is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Beginning in September of 1970, he served in the U.S. Army, as a field artillery officer. Before retirement, he was VP of Luscombe Engineering, a Silicon Valley-based manufacturer’s representative company. 

Les joined MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network, in 1991 and has held the following positions: Field investigator, Training Coordinator for field investigators, the Assistant State Director in Northern California, Chairman of the A.E.R.C. (Abduction Experiencer Research Committee) which was the precursor to the MUFON ERT (Experiencer Resource Team), and Team Leader of the A.R.T. (Abduction Response Team) which is associated with the A.E.R.C.

During this time, he became a facilitator for an abduction support group in San Jose, California, and in 1994, Les co-founded OPUS (Organization for Paranormal Understanding and Support).

Les has appeared on Coast-to-Coast AM with George Knapp, Open Minds Radio with Alejandro Rojas, Linda Moulton Howe’s Earthfiles, and many other podcasts. Most recently, he released his book The Unknown Other and the Existential Proposition of Alien Contact, which is available on Amazon.
