Mark McNabb created Skylight Films in 1991, following his graduation from the University of Western Ontario, with his Bachelor of Arts (Double Area of Concentration in English and Film Studies). With a diverse collection of film projects - from drama to family-adventure to documentary-reality, Skylight Films positioned itself to re-define the role of Producer within the Canadian film/video industry. With an aggressive approach to distribution, Mark and his Skylight Films company have obtained multiple broadcast licenses across 30 countries, through Lionsgate Entertainment (DirectTV), ArtistView Entertainment (Super Channel/Netflix) and CanWest Global (Showcase/Mystery/Action.)

Now in his 35th year as a Television Producer / Director / Writer, Mark’s vision has remained strong in a belief that to be creative is to be inspiring. Every imagined idea needs to tell a unique and powerful story, so that something new and exciting is experienced.

Mark is very excited to be currently producing / directing / writing three new international factual-documentary series: Making Contact, UFO World Explorer and Encounters.

From 2022-2025, and across 10 countries, Mark and UFO Researcher/Executive Producer Rob Freeman, have specialized in the exploration of the unknown, with a specific focus on UFO phenomena and mysterious cultural phenomenon. With a passion for storytelling, both Mark and Rob pridefully weave together intricate narratives that challenge conventional thinking and provoke curiosity.

With Rob serving as an Executive Producer, Mark has directed and produced a series of thought-provoking documentaries that delve into the mysteries of the universe and human experience. Mark’s works not only investigate sightings and alleged UFO and extraterrestrial encounters, but he also examines the rich tapestry of cultural beliefs and folklore that shape our understanding of life within the universe. By incorporating expert interviews, historical archives, and stunning visuals, both Mark and Rob create immersive experiences that invite viewers to ponder the larger questions of existence.
